Job Title: Legal Assistant

Stone, Glass & Connolly, LLP, a reputable defense litigation law firm, seeks a highly skilled legal assistant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide litigation support to multiple attorneys, including preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, judicial assistants, and other attorneys and their staff.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, both electronic and paper records.
  • Review and analyze medical, billing, employment, and insurance claim records.
  • Schedule meetings, hearings, depositions, and mediations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance defense field, with trial experience preferred.
  • Skilled use of litigation software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Tabs, TimeMatters, and Outlook.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal and Local Rules of the Middle and Southern Districts.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, managing fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
