Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing roads and other infrastructure assets.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and remove traffic control devices, including barrels, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage.
  • Operate equipment, including bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
  • Prepare and paint sound walls, retaining walls, retaining wall coping, bridge abutments, and barrier walls.
  • Pressure wash bridge abutments, bent caps, and bridge joints.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • One year of work experience in high-volume commercial or residential painting and power washing required.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • CDL and DOT certifications highly desirable.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
