Position Summary:

PrideStaff Financial is collaborating with a prominent organization in search of a Senior Accounting Specialist to enhance their expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational foundation in Accounting or Finance, along with a comprehensive understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting practices. This role offers training in Full Cycle Accounting and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage business transactions through the General Ledger to produce Financial Statements on both Cash and Accrual bases.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations for all cash accounts, create journal entries, and maintain accrual schedules.
  • Generate timely and precise monthly financial reports.
  • Assist in establishing bank accounts, financial reports, and any additional accounting systems or software.
  • Review and authorize all accounts payable and payment disbursements.
  • Prepare, review, and assist with annual recovery reconciliations and estimated billings.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting schedules on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly standard reporting packages and respond to inquiries from managers and clients.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, prepare audit packages, and provide lender reports as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics strongly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting is advantageous.
  • Exhibits a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and is deadline-driven.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Google applications such as Gmail, Docs, and Sheets.
  • Highly analytical with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
