Position Summary:PrideStaff Financial is collaborating with a prominent organization in search of a Senior Accounting Specialist to enhance their expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational foundation in Accounting or Finance, along with a comprehensive understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting practices. This role offers training in Full Cycle Accounting and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage business transactions through the General Ledger to produce Financial Statements on both Cash and Accrual bases.
- Conduct bank reconciliations for all cash accounts, create journal entries, and maintain accrual schedules.
- Generate timely and precise monthly financial reports.
- Assist in establishing bank accounts, financial reports, and any additional accounting systems or software.
- Review and authorize all accounts payable and payment disbursements.
- Prepare, review, and assist with annual recovery reconciliations and estimated billings.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting schedules on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly standard reporting packages and respond to inquiries from managers and clients.
- Support the annual budgeting process, prepare audit packages, and provide lender reports as necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics strongly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting is advantageous.
- Exhibits a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and is deadline-driven.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Google applications such as Gmail, Docs, and Sheets.
- Highly analytical with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screening.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
