About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Vice President, Business Line Development to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving top-line growth across all service offerings, leading the client development growth strategy, and exceeding growth and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Business Line growth performance, achieving and exceeding annual targeted results.
  • Partner to develop and implement the Business Line's strategic plan.
  • Identify and maintain a portfolio of potential US acquisition targets, participating as a member of the Corporate M&A Team reporting to WSP USA President.
  • Lead the client engagement program for the Business Line, including mentoring Key Account Leaders to advance optimal strategies across key accounts.
  • Conduct routine portfolio analysis across service lines and key accounts, reviewing performance and recommending/implementing mitigation measures for underperformance.
  • Provide personal engagement and leadership to the Business Line's major pursuit strategies, proposals, and interview preparations, partnering with the Strategic Growth Team (SGT).
  • Direct business partners in SGT, Comms, CRM/Analytics, etc.
  • Attend Teaming/Strategy, Risk, and Pricing Review calls to support effective Go/NoGo decisions.
  • Manage Pipeline to include achieving targeted growth metrics, data integrity, and accurate reporting. Support and communicate with operational leadership regarding significant wins and associated resourcing needs.
  • Collaboratively coordinate with the Regional Executives & Marketing Directors to ensure that the Business Line's strategy is being effectively implemented across the geographic regions of WSP USA.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, business, or related field with appropriate years of relevant experience considered.
  • Minimum of 15 years of infrastructure consulting/engineering experience, including at least 10 years of successful experience in developing client relationships and oversight of client engagement teams delivering growth results.
  • Robust Federal business line market knowledge on trends and industry analytics impacting the Federal business line.
  • Demonstrated experience of leadership by influence, personal accountability, persistence, and goal orientation.
  • Experience leading direct client engagement teams delivering annual growth results.
  • Experience in leading and winning major strategic pursuits.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and delivering organizational results.
  • Excellent communications skills and an organized, self-starter mentality with a strong collaborative approach.
