Heavy Equipment Parts Specialist

Job Overview

Position Summary: As a key member of the Parts Department, the Heavy Equipment Parts Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through effective parts sales and support.



Working Hours

Shifts typically range from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime and weekend work as necessary.



Core Responsibilities

Essential Duties Include:

  • Identifying and sourcing part numbers using equipment manuals or online databases to assist clients.
  • Facilitating customer transactions at the parts counter.
  • Completing necessary documentation and performing data entry tasks.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Self-motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Prior experience in a parts counter role or within a heavy equipment service environment is advantageous.
  • Positive demeanor with exceptional customer service capabilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including UPS Worldship, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves working in both office and warehouse settings. Responsibilities may include prolonged periods of sitting, answering phone calls, and utilizing a keyboard for communication. The position requires walking, bending, and lifting as necessary. Adherence to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear, is mandatory. The office environment is generally quiet, while the warehouse may have moderate noise levels. Flexibility during peak periods is essential, including the possibility of local travel.
