Job Title: Regional Window Service Representative

Job Summary:

The Regional Window Service Representative will be responsible for servicing, repairing, or replacing aluminum, vinyl, or wood windows for customers in their assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer locations to analyze work orders, plan daily travel schedules, investigate complaints, and conduct reliability tests on current and prospective products.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships by investigating and resolving customer problems with product quality, installation, or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure quality customer service through personal interaction with contractors and retail customers.
  • Analyze assigned work orders to determine and plan the most efficient travel schedule to properly service retail and commercial customers.
  • Build, repair, and install window screens as necessary to properly satisfy customer and management requirements.
  • Repair and install glass window replacements as necessary. Make service order calls as necessary to the assigned retail store or vendor of the product.
  • Establish and maintain a home-closing walk-through procedure, ensuring that all windows operate as required and appearance properly satisfies customer expectations.
  • Document and track a daily activity log of service and repair transactions that are made. Report activity log on a weekly basis to the assigned supervisor or manager.
  • Track and maintain expenses related to the position. Provide reports to management as required regarding these expenses.
  • Track and maintain equipment and tools that are provided for the position.
  • Establish and maintain proper relationships with product vendors and vendor employees.
  • Work with and through corporate, regional, and store management and employees to facilitate efficient customer service and response for products with residential and commercial customers.
  • Support all company promotional activities with appropriate training, staffing, merchandising, or selling assistance.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of product application to assist customers in selecting products. Coordinate product training or demonstrations for customers as needed.
  • Recommend additions, or deletions, of products and merchandise to be sold in retail stores based on customer input and market activity.
  • Coordinate efforts within assigned areas to assist in achieving store, regional, and company sales and profitability goals.
  • Attend all store meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers with personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Basic and intermediate knowledge of building products.
  • Must have a current driver's license and auto liability insurance.
  • Frequent travel with occasional overnight travel is required.
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience installing and repairing windows is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • The ability to quickly move hands, fingers, grasp, or manipulate objects in order to operate and/or repair windows.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, and occasionally lift/move up to 80 pounds.
  • May need to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods.
