Job Summary:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the logistics operations for the company, including planning, execution, and tracking of logistics activities. This role will also involve managing a team of logistics professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics policies, procedures, and controls in line with company strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a logistics network that ensures timely delivery of products and materials to the company's facilities, customers, and suppliers.
  • Oversee logistics for overseas shipments and ensure proper setup of SAP for receiving incoming equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials and goods are available to meet production and delivery schedules.
  • Improve standardized logistics system and support warehouse process flows by completing daily, weekly, and monthly verifications of improvement plans on performance.
  • Develop and maintain logistics plans and procedures to ensure the company's compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., customs, import/export).
  • Resolve transportation-related customer complaints and act as the primary point of contact for Customer Service for all transportation-related questions or issues.
  • Manage / optimize freight costs and budgets, negotiating rates or services where needed or where established agreements do not exist.
  • Support, coach, and manage the logistics team to ensure that all logistics activities are executed efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics and KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics role, with at least 3 years in a management position.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, such as customs and import/export regulations.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding software and industry-specific technology tools.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, performance management, and employee development.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
