The Role

The Technical Software Developer Assistant will work under the general direction of the IT Manager and be responsible for assisting in the development of new applications used in the manufacturing process.

This role involves refactoring and documenting code in existing and upgraded applications, performing new release activity in parallel with existing developers, and performing unit and integration testing of developed code.

Your Responsibilities

  • To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.
  • To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department's established procedures and work instructions.

Key Requirements

  • Refactor application code.
  • Develop new applications or new application functions under the direction of a Senior Developer.
  • Perform code unit testing and integration testing under the direction of a Senior Developer.
  • Create application documentation, release notes, and update notes as needed.
  • Work with application development team members in releasing new application code.
  • Perform application troubleshooting under the direction of a Senior Developer.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
