About the Role:

As an Internal Service Advisor at Angela Krause Ford Lincoln, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth reconditioning of vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately annotate all information related to the vehicle during the reconditioning process, facilitating effective communication with the sales team about the vehicle's location and status.

This involves performing a thorough pre-inspection walk-around every morning, regardless of weather conditions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and cosmetic needs are communicated to the appraisal team, and that all repairs are booked efficiently to maximize technician utilization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Physically inspecting all incoming trades and identifying major cosmetics or mechanical concerns
  • Assisting sales staff with service needs and communicating essential services to the appraisal team
  • Annotating all cosmetics and identifying the most cost-effective repairs to better merchandise the vehicle
  • Providing concierge support for sales staff, answering mechanical inquiries, and coordinating with vendors for repairs
  • Ensuring the daily inventory of technicians' time is consistently sold to the appraisal team
  • Distributing work between technicians efficiently
  • Answering technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs
  • Assisting in diagnosing vehicle problems and ordering parts and tools as necessary
  • Overseeing the administration of warranty claims and training, and supervising the recon department
  • Reinforcing company policies and adhering to company standards
  • Encouraging compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Collaborating with upper management to make recon department hiring and discipline decisions
