Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  1. Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Utilize observation, testing, and setup to identify and resolve HVAC, refrigeration, and performance issues.
  2. Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.
  4. Documentation and Communication: Complete electronic documentation of service-related tasks, materials, and labor hours, and effectively communicate with customers to explain service charges and work performed.
  5. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory stock on the service vehicle to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Reconcile work order documents, vendor packing slips, and weekly time sheets for supervisor review.
Requirements
  1. Commercial HVAC Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC chiller technician roles.
  2. Technical Knowledge: Ability to follow construction plans and specifications for proper installation and repair.
  3. Certifications and Licenses: Valid EPA Card and TDLR required.
  4. Personal Qualities: Must be able to pass a drug screen, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain a clean driving record.
  5. Professional Growth: Stable work history showing responsibility and professional growth.
  6. Technical Skills: Ability to competently use a variety of gauges, meters, measuring instruments.
  7. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, and customers.
