About the Role

Bayer is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Director, Integrated Strategic Communications to lead the development of integrated communications strategies and activations to support key Bayer U.S. external and internal topics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for select partnerships and programs, including the LAGRANT Foundation.
  • Convene site communications communities to connect and collaborate on opportunities to drive Bayer's reputation across the U.S.
  • Lead site communications communities and work in partnership with site communicators to develop strategies to amplify local activities, drive employee engagement, and build goodwill in the communities where we operate.
  • Partner with U.S. Public Affairs, Sustainability, and Science (PASS) Corp Engagement team on integrated communications to address giving topics and programming, amplify donations, and other PASS programming as needed.
  • Track, monitor, and adjust strategic approaches using data and insights to drive established KPIs.
  • Support integrated strategic communications priorities as needed.
  • Manage contractors and agencies to help drive programming and extend the overall impact of communications programs as needed.
  • Execute local events as needed.
  • Contribute to crisis management teams as needed.
Requirements
  • Excellence in creating compelling communications across multiple media, including written, spoken, visual, and audio formats.
  • Ability to use data and insights to drive excellent communications that achieve KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute campaigns and work collaboratively and independently to achieve results.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively across various organizational structures to achieve tangible results for the business.
  • Winning mindset and desire to create bold communications.
  • Self-starter with the ability to anticipate and self-direct work.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and managing budgets.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of overall experience in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field or experience; media relations and content creation experience.
