Job Summary

Zepf Center is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Technician to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to gather collateral data and provide outreach services, including crisis intervention.
  • Accompany clinicians on pre-hospital screenings and work with patients' primary care providers, case managers, and counselors to facilitate care.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to clients and their families, monitoring behavior and mental status, and documenting services in client charts.
  • Answer the hotline, gather collateral information, and provide referrals to community services.
  • Run the intake board, coordinate outreach runs, and transport clients to and from community sites as needed.
  • Work flexibly with other team members, attend agency and unit meetings, and complete reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to be a qualified mental health specialist by Ohio Medicaid.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least three years' work experience in mental health.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and eligibility to drive company vehicles.
