Job Title: Professional Relations Representative

Job Summary:

Treasure Coast Hospice is seeking a skilled Professional Relations Representative to educate physicians and other healthcare providers on the benefits of hospice services. The successful candidate will develop successful relationships and educate medical/professional referral sources within an assigned geographic and/or medical provider area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct direct physician/provider educational programs and community outreach presentations to increase referrals and admissions for Treasure Coast Hospice services.
  • Communicate regularly with staff and referral sources to solidify acceptance and allegiance throughout the service area.
  • Prepare quarterly sales plans, input daily referral source contracts, and deliver weekly activity reports.
  • Maintain a high level of urgency, customer consciousness, and service excellence.
  • Participate as an active supporter of the Treasure Coast Hospice compliance program.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred or a combination of equivalent education or work experience.
  • Three (3) year's experience working with physicians and providers either as a healthcare and/or sales/marketing professional.
  • Professional sales training desired.
  • Hospice experience preferred.
  • Valid Florida driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable means of transportation to perform job duties.

Working Conditions:

  • Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
  • Active - researching organizations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential new markets.
  • Sedentary - exerting up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

  • Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation, or disaster.
  • This position has excluded the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of the fundamental job duties.
