Lifeguard - Water Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard to join our team at St. Lucie County Florida. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the public using our aquatic facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform emergency water rescue techniques and administer standard first aid, CPR, and AED as necessary.
- Ensure the general safety and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of aquatic amenities, including pool areas, restrooms, and showers.
- Communicate effectively with the public and respond to their needs.
- Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Must obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent certification within 30 days of employment.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high levels of physical fitness and agility.
- Previous experience as a Lifeguard or in a related field.
- Knowledge of water safety techniques and standard lifeguard tasks.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees.
Work will be performed in an outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to heat, cold, humidity, and rain. Routine work will be performed in the sun, and sunscreen will be provided.

- Trauma bag (first aid kit, AED, oxygen cylinder, gloves, biohazard bags, etc.)
- Rescue tube
- Back board
- Handicap lift
Starting rate: $15.90 per hour. Pay grade is based on tier, with opportunities for advancement and increased compensation.
