Position Overview:

CNS Healthcare is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals within our communities. The Employment Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering community-oriented services through the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, aimed at assisting individuals facing mental and behavioral health challenges in achieving and sustaining employment that aligns with their personal career aspirations. This role encompasses all aspects of employment services, including outreach, evaluation, job placement, coaching, and ongoing support.

Role Highlights:

This position primarily involves community engagement, with potential for some remote work opportunities.

Compensation Details:

The salary for this role ranges from $44,000 to $48,000 for unlicensed candidates, $44,000 to $52,000 for candidates with limited licenses, and $44,000 to $56,000 for fully licensed professionals, determined by relevant skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Employment Support Specialist, your duties will include:
  • Collaborating with clients to help them secure and maintain competitive employment aligned with their career goals.
  • Ensuring adherence to service line requirements as per IPS fidelity standards and relevant contracts.
  • Engaging with clients to assess and develop employment objectives that reflect their aspirations.
  • Educating clients on the benefits of employment.
  • Conducting job development and search activities tailored to the unique interests of clients.
  • Building relationships with local employers to create job opportunities.
  • Providing ongoing support to clients to maintain their employment.
  • Facilitating discussions about disclosure of mental health conditions to employers.
  • Offering guidance to employers regarding job accommodations and support.
  • Supporting clients' families in understanding mental health issues.
  • Assisting clients interested in furthering their education to meet employment goals.
  • Conducting outreach to clients who may be disengaging from services.
  • Coordinating care and referring clients to additional resources as needed.
  • Participating in team meetings and community collaborations.
  • Completing all necessary documentation accurately and in compliance with CNS policies.
  • Meeting productivity standards set by the agency.
  • Providing transportation to clients when required.
  • Applying a trauma-informed approach in all interactions.
  • Engaging in professional development through training and educational opportunities.
  • Maintaining compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health records.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred:
  • Experience in providing employment services to individuals with serious mental illness.
  • Relevant licensure or certification in rehabilitation or employment training.
  • Background in community mental health settings.
