We seek an individual with robust OS knowledge, exceptional communication abilities, and a passion for being part of a remarkable team that delivers operating systems for devices like the Mac, iPhone, iPad, HomePod, Apple TV, and Apple Watch. Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize daily build tasks for upcoming launches and address issues effectively. Oversee side builds to identify and resolve critical software challenges. Take ownership of delivering beta software for various Apple devices to both customers and developers. This position necessitates strong project management capabilities and excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities Include:
  1. Consolidating developer seeds and customer shipping software by managing source modifications for nightly builds.
  2. Daily release management of iOS and associated builds.
  3. Identifying, escalating, and communicating significant issues.
  4. Formulating strategies to enhance the build release process.
  5. Driving resolutions on build-related challenges with engineering teams.
  6. Assisting in managing risks during the release phase leading to customer launch.
  7. Releasing software to seed users and customers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Project or Program Manager.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Aptitude for building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Proven history of defining and executing processes effectively.
  • Self-driven and enthusiastic, showcasing creative and analytical thinking abilities.
  • A mindset characterized by intellectual curiosity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Build and Release Engineering or Release Management is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Unix programming or scripting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth and advancement as you develop in your role. Eligible employees can receive discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through our Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, a variety of discounted products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement at Apple. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.
