Job Title: Engineering Project Manager

At Apple, we're looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Infrastructure and Production Engineering team, you'll be responsible for leading cross-functional projects that drive the delivery of complex software and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status documentation
  • Collaborate with large cross-functional stakeholder groups to drive project execution
  • Communicate project information, requirements, changes, and milestones to stakeholders
  • Present new feature initiatives, top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership
  • Drive focus to critical path deliverables and track execution of dependencies
  • Coordinate complex and highly dependent groups of changes through our build and integration systems
  • Proactively identify risks to software delivery, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolutions
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in program or project management in software development
  • Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies and related dependencies
  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to build trusting relationships and influence others
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Build and Release Engineering / Release Management experience
  • Project Management experience in software development life cycle
  • Understanding of software build pipelines, merging, test systems and methods, and the delivery of code
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Analytics (splunk/Tableau preferred)
  • Knowledge of operating system internals architecture skills and experience
