Software Release Program Manager

The Apple Maps team is seeking a skilled Release Manager to oversee the planning, tracking, and communication of our native software releases and web deployments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize the release schedule and track progress
  • Analyze and supervise releases to provide timely and actionable information to managers and leadership
  • Coordinate scheduled and emergency deployments with Engineering, QA, and the Build/Release teams
  • Review, update, and create release processes

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Program Management experience in Software Development
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with proven success in establishing relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for different audiences
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements into layperson's terms
  • Experience identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and facilitating conflict resolutions
  • Understanding and using a bug management system
  • Prior experience supporting a full development life cycle for iOS/OS/Web or other Apple ecosystems
