Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Software Automation and Release Engineering team at Apple. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams and deliverables, gathering requirements for shipping OS software, and providing daily prioritized information to the build and integration team on upcoming releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and deliverables to ensure timely and successful release of OS software
  • Gather requirements for shipping OS software and provide daily prioritized information to the build and integration team
  • Work with engineering teams to prioritize daily build deliverables for upcoming releases and to triage issues
  • Prioritize and manage side builds to help isolate and resolve critical software issues
  • Own the responsibility for delivering beta software for Mac, iPhone, iPad, HomePod, Apple TV, and Apple Watch to customers and developers
Requirements
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Project or Program Manager
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to build relationships and influence others
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed cross-functional capacity
  • Excellent spoken and written communication with the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences
  • Proven track record of defining processes and executing on them
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Intellectually curious mindset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Build and Release Engineering/Release Management experience
  • Project management experience in software development life cycle
  • Unix programming/scripting experience
Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
