JOB FUNCTIONS: The responsibilities associated with this role encompass, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
  • Execute comprehensive accounting functions to support the finance department.
  • Aid in the reconciliation of bank accounts and other financial assets.
  • Oversee and evaluate accounts payable activities for accuracy and proper classification.
  • Document regular journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts for discrepancies and patterns.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual audit and the 990 tax return documentation.
Facilitate other departments in accessing necessary financial data.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Completion of a degree from an accredited institution in accounting or a related discipline. Relevant work experience may be taken into account.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and the Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards and practices.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to commit to a minimum of 20-24 hours per week.
Required License/Certification:
  • A valid driver's license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • A hybrid work arrangement, with increased in-office presence during the initial training phase. Post-training, this position may transition to a fully remote setup, with in-office attendance as necessary.
