Job Summary

AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a contract/travel position. As an LPN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients under the guidance of RNs or physicians, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Patient Assessments: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews, to develop personalized care plans.
  • Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, adhering to established protocols.
  • Wound Care: Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries, monitoring for infection or complications.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices, promoting overall well-being.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Emergency Response: Respond swiftly and effectively during medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Medication Handling: Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies, in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Health Promotion: Foster health and wellness by promoting preventive care measures, such as vaccinations and screenings.
  • Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN License: Possess a valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse State license.
  • BLS Certification: Hold current BLS certification.
