We are seeking an experienced Plastic Production Specialist to join our team at WMC LLC. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending machines that extrude and form continuous filaments from synthetic materials.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Operation: Load materials into extruder, adjust feed mechanisms to set feed rates, and keep machines full of material at all times.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on all skids to be used for the finished product, assemble new boxes on top of skids, and place at the end of the production line.
- Material Handling: Transfer material to and from the department, lift 55lb bags of material to fill hoppers, and tear down and dispose of empty or damaged boxes.
- Maintenance: Clean and maintain extruder, maintain a clean work area, and put away product when complete.
- Documentation: Complete hourly read sheets and record test results.
This is a 3rd shift position, working Sunday - Thursday, 8.5 hour shifts from 10:45pm - 7:15am.
Requirements- Adhere to WMC's quality management system.
- Follow the WMC production process sheet for order of production.
- Understand and follow all WMC Health & Safety Practices.
