Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care within your scope of practice in the clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policy and procedures.
  • Complete admission process as directed by Center Director.
  • Perform physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis.
  • Document all pertinent data in the patient's medical record.
  • Report all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and be responsible for the follow-up on any problem identified.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the IV team on patient status and observations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times by abiding by HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • Evaluate the patient's response to therapy and document this finding in the medical record.
  • Educate patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement program.
  • Ensure that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up to date prior to treatment.
  • Participate in On-Call program, which may include after-hours, weekend, and holiday calls and visitations.
  • Provide clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA and may also support new market launches.
  • May require extensive travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.
Requirements
  • Requires an MS in Nursing and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with IVs required.
  • Requires active, current, and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
  • Multi-state licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states.
Preferred Skills
  • Infusion experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel for coverage within the Atlanta Metroplex as needed.
  • Ability to travel for coverage out of State: TN, AL, FL, GA as needed.
  • Ability to travel for coverage up to 16 sites and 4 states as well as Ohio as needed.
  • Ability to perform role in multiple centers in a regional manner.
  • Requirement for multi-state clinical licensure attainment and maintenance.
