Pediatric Anesthesiologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. As a key member of our Department of Anesthesiology, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our team.
Job Summary:The Pediatric Anesthesiologist will be responsible for providing anesthesia services to pediatric patients, collaborating with surgical and nursing teams, and participating in the development of our anesthesia residency program. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of pediatric anesthesia care.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality anesthesia care to pediatric patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to develop and implement effective anesthesia plans.
- Participate in the development of our anesthesia residency program, including curriculum design and resident education.
- Engage in data-based and clinical research, fostering an environment of innovation within the Department of Anesthesiology.
- Share knowledge and expertise through lectures and educational support to our Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Surgery residents.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
- Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus.
- New graduates are welcome.
- An active NYS License is required.
- Annual Base Salary: $234,000* (board eligible); $240,000* (board certified) based on 24-hour work week.
- Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
- Projected bonus of up to $21,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
- Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
- Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
