Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, review, and research accounting data issues, exploring solutions and proposing recommendations.
  • Prepare and respond to reports, ad hoc requests, and analyses, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze sophisticated business transactions, providing insightful financial analysis.
  • Review account reconciliations prepared by external vendors, researching outstanding items and ensuring accuracy.
  • Supervise controls of external vendor processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Review new projects for accurate accounting setup and proper documentation, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Facilitate and aid with audit requirements for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Lead or participate in various accounting-related projects, driving process improvements and innovation.
  • Communicate and coordinate with company partners, ensuring effective collaboration and results.
  • Work with significant amounts of detailed data, translating it into meaningful information to inform business decisions.
Education and Experience:

Accountant II:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two (2) years' experience in energy industry accounting.
  • Preferred: CPA and minimum three (3) years' experience in accounting in the oil and gas industry.

Accounting Sr:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum four (4) years' experience in related energy industry accounting.
  • Preferred: CPA.

Accounting Analyst Sr:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum six (6) years of multifaceted experience in a related field.
  • Preferred: CPA.
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, prioritizing safety above all.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Ability to understand and work with complex processes and computerized accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial accounting skills, including consolidation.
