Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Ground Transportation Monitor to join our team at SP+. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of passengers through the airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist passengers at the taxi curbside, providing accurate information and directions as needed.
  • Direct passengers to the appropriate taxi or limousine service, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
  • Dispatch a sufficient number of taxicabs to meet passenger demand, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on any deviations from normal operations, providing valuable insights for process improvement.
  • Coordinate the ordering and dispatch of luxury limousines, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Identify and report any safety issues or concerns, prioritizing the well-being of passengers and staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.
  • Knowledge of the metro area is desirable, but not required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Prior airport experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have excellent attendance and punctuality, with reliable transportation to and from work.

Language Skills:

Must be able to read and write English exceptionally well, with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers, drivers, and coworkers on various socio-economic levels.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, with basic arithmetic skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, make sound judgments, and educate others about policies and procedures.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrate fair and impartial judgment, and perform duties with a high level of professionalism.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, and listen. Employees are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including snowstorms and extreme heat. This position is 100% outside work, with frequent exposure to high levels of noise and/or fumes from vehicles or airplanes.
