Job Opportunity at Pershing General Hospital

Pershing General Hospital & Nursing Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in the Acute and Long-Term Care departments. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and contributing to our mission of being the first-choice provider for our community's health needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Aid patients with mobility and transfers, including walking, using a wheelchair, and repositioning in bed.
  • Support patients' nutritional needs by feeding them, providing assistance with eating, and monitoring food intake.
  • Aid patients with medication reminders.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, weight, and respiration rates, and document and report any abnormal results or significant changes to nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information.
  • Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Follow proper infection control protocols, including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines to prevent falls, accidents, and injuries to patients and self.
  • Recognize and report any potential hazards or safety concerns in the patient's environment.
