Position: Irrigation Production Manager

Objective: Big Tree, Inc. seeks a dedicated and experienced Irrigation Production Manager to oversee the successful execution of commercial irrigation installation projects. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing multiple irrigation construction projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Irrigation Department Manager to coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules, and inventory management.
  • Proactively identify potential job site challenges, propose effective solutions, and track project modifications for change order requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage and ensure proper cost allocation to respective projects.
  • Contribute to the establishment of efficient job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedules.
  • Effectively manage crew schedules and timecards to optimize labor costs and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of construction equipment, tools, and materials to minimize damage or losses.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of laborers and crew leaders, fostering a skilled and motivated team.
  • Communicate client and GC feedback to the Irrigation Department Manager, ensuring timely resolution of concerns.
  • Champion Big Tree, Inc.'s safety policies and procedures, upholding strict compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in commercial irrigation installation is highly preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of plant water requirements and irrigation system design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a significant asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning abilities, with the capacity to manage shifting priorities and workflows efficiently.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, striving to enhance company standards, procedures, and goals.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Dedication to professional development, seeking opportunities to refine skills and maintain industry expertise.

  • Possess the physical capabilities necessary for the demands of this role.
