Job Title: Traveling Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team at our Ft. Myers office. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate project schedules to ensure timely completion and coordination with subcontractors.
  • Manage construction budgets, track costs, and submit invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.
  • Prepare daily log reports detailing site conditions, manpower, and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations, conducting pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized construction site, ensuring proper machinery and tools are available to assigned workers.
  • Schedule and participate in necessary inspections, organizing final inspections for completed work.
  • Monitor daily construction procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Communicate regularly with project management staff to ensure all parties are informed of project status and potential issues.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of construction supervisory experience in new construction and/or renovation/fit-out disciplines, with project values of $10 million and up desirable.
  • Ability to travel and manage out-of-town work in the southern region, including Florida, Texas, and North Carolina.
  • Advanced knowledge of associated trades in commercial construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling frequently.
