Job Summary

The Logistics and Operations Specialist plays a critical role in driving company logistics and supporting daily office operations at ACM Chemistries, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving product and service-related issues via phone and email
  • Prepare and distribute customer pricing letters
  • Process sales and sample orders
  • Enter sales, samples, and dispensing orders into the Daily Sales Order Report and Ship Log
  • Schedule and track pickups for dispensing, laboratory, and product returns
  • Enter tank levels from monitored tanks into Bulk Customer Usage Data and update the bulk delivery schedule for review by the bulk carrier
  • Distribute the approved bulk schedule to pertinent bulk carrier and ACM personnel
  • Contact bulk customers to confirm bulk deliveries
  • Work with bulk carrier's dispatch office to ensure all bulk loads are assigned
  • Work with bulk carrier's dispatch office to ensure all bulk trailer meters are calibrated annually
  • Generate and schedule LTL freight quotes
  • Process and schedule FedEx package shipments and pickups
  • Assist with day-to-day office activities and initiatives, including answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with A/R and A/P and sales order entry activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in coordinating logistics for a mid-size company
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years serving a mid-size company in logistics
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
