Job Description

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Global Contract Manager to join our Global Contracting team in North America. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the success of our Global Contracting function by managing contracts and providing specialized legal advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct formal legal reviews and risk analyses of various contracts, advising the business team and other levels of management during the decision-making process.
  • Ensure that contracts align with our contracting principles and strategic goals for each customer and business segment.
  • Represent Energy Systems in reviewing, amending, and negotiating contracts with customers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the performance of our services.
  • Support the contracting process and contract management, assessing project risks and collaborating with the business on strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Provide advice on legal and commercial contract-related matters, as well as on matters pertaining to other functional responsibilities of the Global Contracting team.
  • Advocate and ensure compliance with our processes, policies, guidelines, and values.
  • Provide training on legal/contract management issues and risks within the functional scope of the Global Contracting team.
  • Take an active role in identifying potential process improvements and support the implementation of internal improvement projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree, paralegal certificate, experience in law office, department, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional or contract manager is preferred
  • Experience with government contracting, reviewing and negotiating large energy services contracts, and knowledge of data privacy laws, IT/Software/SaaS contract would be beneficial for this role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional skills in other languages are also welcomed.
  • Legal skills in a commercial/transactional context, including reviewing and drafting contracts
  • Comfortable working as part of a virtual, hybrid, global, and multi-cultural team
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex projects
  • Possesses organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines
  • Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Capable of professionally managing confidential information
  • Experience with SalesForce is beneficial
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
