Position: Private Overnight Home Health Aide
Location: Individual Client at Private Residence
Position Summary
OVERNIGHT CAREGIVERS REQUIRED for a charming residence offering competitive compensation and benefits. This role involves light-duty awake-overnight responsibilities, providing ample opportunities for rest, study, or leisure. We are looking for exceptional individuals who appreciate the positive impact they can have simply by being present. While prior direct care experience is beneficial, we offer comprehensive training for all selected candidates, regardless of their background.
YOUR ROLE will involve assisting a capable young adult with disabilities who is intelligent, educated, and actively employed. Your personalized care will enable him to maintain his job and stay connected with his family, making this a rewarding opportunity to gain extensive healthcare knowledge and experience by facilitating a safe sleeping environment and supporting nightly activities of daily living (ADLs).
COMPENSATION is set at $22 per hour, in addition to paid time off, sick/personal days, and regular bonuses. Additional benefits include high-speed fiber internet, premium streaming services, access to a staff kitchen and relaxation area, complimentary coffee and energy snacks, and a caring team that prioritizes your well-being.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS include various overnight options. You are not required to take all shifts; even one full overnight would be beneficial. If you notice a full overnight shift that you can only partially cover, please feel free to apply.
Shifts Available:
- Monday overnight (10 PM - 7 AM)
- Tuesday overnight (10 PM - 3 AM)
- Friday partial overnight (3 AM - 7 AM)
- Friday overnight (10 PM - 8 AM)
- Saturday overnight (10 PM - 8 AM)
- Sunday overnight (10 PM - 7 AM)
As part of your employment, you may have the opportunity to take on additional daytime shifts, often with significant bonuses. We strive to accommodate our team's scheduling needs. *Note: For partial shifts from 3 AM to 7 AM, we prefer you arrive at 10 PM and rest undisturbed in the private guest room until your shift begins.
QUALIFICATIONS include reliability, punctuality, dependable transportation, excellent communication skills with a full command of English, sound judgment, a positive and professional demeanor, proficiency with smartphones, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs briefly. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and reside within a reasonable distance from the client’s location, and must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Provide light-duty care and monitoring; assess well-being, vital signs, and safety.
- Be available during shifts to respond promptly to requests for assistance.
- Assist with repositioning or sitting up in bed.
- Support basic use of medical equipment, including BiPap ventilators.
- Aid with personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
- Facilitate hydration and limited medication management.
- Assist with basic toileting and gastrointestinal care.
- Help with the maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment.
- Support basic physical maintenance activities.
- Maintain a hygienic environment by practicing proper hand hygiene and disinfecting surfaces.
- Report or summarize daily information during shift changes.
Secondary Duties (less frequent)
- Assist with occasional household maintenance tasks, such as:
- Disinfecting surfaces; light cleaning duties.
- Keeping common areas tidy and organized.
- Maintaining hygiene in bathrooms and kitchens.
- Changing and cleaning bedding.
- Potentially assist in training new aides.
