We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to fill the role of Direct Support Professional at Resolute Care, LLC. In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities- Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
- Practice person-centered planning to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients
- Assist with mobility, walking, and physical exercises to promote independence and well-being
- Prepare meals and snacks to meet the dietary needs of our clients
- Perform light housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Dispense medication as prescribed by a healthcare professional
- Provide companionship and social interaction to our clients
- Assist with errands and shopping to promote independence and community involvement
- Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or similar role is preferred
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
- Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make decisions and complete tasks with little or no supervision
- Flexibility to respond to changing situations
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Read, write, and speak English fluently
- Compassionate, respectful, and ethical
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Valid and current driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Pass a DHS background study
- At least 18 years of age
