We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations to join our team at Abbott Laboratories. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a manufacturing operations line, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate activities for a shift team to ensure delivery of key performance metrics, including EHS, Quality, Finance, Productivity, and People.
- Lead efforts to deliver quality and compliance performance for the shift/line of accountability, initiating, managing, and making decisions that impact product quality.
- Manage budget accountability for Headcount, Overtime, and direct expenses for a shift and/or line, driving OEE performance and understanding the drivers.
- Develop and execute plans to improve line performance and quality metrics with support from the direct manager.
- Understand and track key performance indicators, communicating to functional manager and site leadership team on accomplishments, opportunities for improvement, and planned actions.
- Maintain a safe work environment with 100% training and compliance to applicable procedures.
- Promote team, department, and site goals through team communications and providing direction and guidance towards achievement.
- Bachelor's degree in business, science, food technology, engineering, or 2 to 4 years of experience in a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, knowledge of project planning tools, and experience using them.
- Proven plant financial understanding and experience working with and implementing Continuous Improvement tools & methodologies.
- Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing work environment, preferably in food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, etc.
