Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the electrical components for new manufacturing systems.
  • Develop control logic for innovative production machinery.
  • Manage and enhance the electrical infrastructure of facilities, including troubleshooting, upgrades, contractor coordination, and maintenance advisory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in equipment designs, including the use of scanners, proximity switches, interlocks, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and support for both hardware and software systems.
  • Coordinate, implement, validate, and document changes to control systems in line with established change management protocols.
  • Support local and central project teams during all phases of machine installation projects, ensuring adherence to functional and electrical specifications.
  • Analyze machine data to identify software bugs and implement necessary patches.
  • Plan and execute projects aimed at upgrading legacy equipment.
  • Safeguard and maintain control system software, and create training materials to assist with new features.
  • Document modifications made to control systems, including schematics and process documentation.
  • Deliver weekly updates on project statuses to the team and management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, specifically with manufacturing equipment and PLCs (Allen Bradley), as well as large facility power and utilities.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, and IOLink.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage capital investment projects, including budget justification and management presentations.
  • Skill in conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Willingness to provide support with flexible scheduling, including off-shift, weekend, or holiday installations.

Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with manufacturing equipment and PLCs (Allen Bradley), along with large facility power and utilities.
