At Olsson, we're committed to upgrading and innovating electrical systems to meet the evolving energy needs of our communities. As a Senior Substation Design Engineer, you'll contribute to an expansive network of substations, switching yards, and advanced electrical technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Engineering: Spearhead the design and engineering of substations as part of significant power delivery projects.
  • Project Leadership: Manage project phases from inception to completion, including planning, conducting studies, and overseeing construction.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the Project Manager, liaising directly with clients to meet specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with internal teams to deliver engineering solutions that uphold Olsson's standards of quality.
  • Travel and Communication: Travel to project sites and participate in client meetings as necessary to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE).
  • At least eight years of engineering experience, with increasing responsibility.
