Job Overview

Facility Manager at Beloved Ones:

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role within a residential treatment center focused on child welfare.
  • Preferred experience with children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as behavioral and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the mission and values of Beloved Ones.
  • Ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations, the latest Interim Licensing Standards, and all relevant federal and state laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality of healthcare information in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Promptly report any suspected child abuse or neglect, adhering to Mandated Reporting guidelines.
  • Document all incidents and provide updates to relevant staff.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings as required.
  • Apply the Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard in decision-making.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Administrator or their designee.

Core Duties:

The Facility Manager will:

  • Oversee direct care staff to ensure proper supervision and care for children, in compliance with legal and licensing standards.
  • Supervise youth and non-minor dependents as necessary.
  • Facilitate planned activities for youth as outlined in Individualized Life Skills (ILS) plans.
  • Assist children in group interactions and address individual challenges.
  • Implement disciplinary measures that align with trauma-informed care principles.
  • Monitor youth progress and communicate any needs for additional professional services to the staff.
  • Assist in providing access to essential services and supports.
  • Report to the Administrator and suggest solutions for identified issues.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Train residents in personal hygiene and daily living skills.
  • Prepare residents for school and manage meal preparation.
  • Supervise recreational activities and maintain a clean living environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to individual habilitation plans.
  • Document daily activities and maintain logs as required.
  • Complete 40 hours of in-service training annually, including topics on behavior management.
  • Administer medications as per protocols.
  • Conduct bed checks and ensure alertness during night shifts.
  • Facilitate weekly cleaning and teach residents effective cleaning techniques.
  • Submit maintenance requests for skilled work as needed.
  • Stay informed on licensing standards and organizational policies.
  • Perform any other necessary duties to ensure the health and safety of youth and non-minor dependents.

  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Current auto insurance (if transporting clients).
  • Official state driving record.
  • Three professional references.
  • Successful criminal background check.
  • Current TB test results.
  • Working cellular phone.

Physical Requirements:

This position may require the following physical and mental capabilities: clear vision, hearing, speaking, and writing. Tasks may involve occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, and prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking. Lifting or moving up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
