POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeping role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our camp facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned areas are kept to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and request additional items as necessary.
  2. Oversee the cleaning standards of the Housekeeping Team to ensure compliance with our facility's expectations.
  3. Coordinate with linen services to guarantee that all linens are prepared for incoming groups.
  4. Prepare accommodations for guests, which includes:
    1. Washing and folding linens.
    2. Making beds.
    3. Providing fresh towels.
    4. Sanitizing bathrooms.
    5. Cleaning communal areas such as kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms.
    6. Ensuring the front entry is tidy.
    7. Disposing of trash in all areas.
  5. Check in with guests each morning to address any needs, such as additional cleaning or supplies.
  6. Regularly empty outdoor trash receptacles.
  7. Clean guest facilities promptly after guests depart to prepare for future use.
  8. Keep the laundry area organized and free of clutter.
  9. Report any misuse of laundry facilities to the Camp Director.
  10. Ensure proper disposal of waste.
  11. Maintain cleanliness in all service areas, including mop and trash collection zones.
  12. Assist in the overall cleanup of the camp at the end of each session.
  13. Support the Camp Director with additional tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  1. Physical capability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  2. Ability to manipulate objects and tools effectively.
  3. Capacity to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
