Body Fit Plus Inc is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team at a correctional facility in California. As a Psychologist, you will provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates, maintain order and supervise the conduct of patient-inmates, and protect and maintain the safety of persons and property.
Key Responsibilities- Provide initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history, to assess inmate needs and make treatment recommendations.
- Meet with mentally ill inmates for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, face-to-face interviews, and other therapeutic activities.
- Conduct clinical assessments, including the selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect the standard of practice, and consult with supervisors and treatment team members as needed.
- Document all care provided to inmates, including face-to-face contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IOTT) meetings.
- Monitor inmate progress using Subjective Assessment Plan Evaluation (SOAPE) FORMATTED PROGRESS NOTES.
- Establish collaborative ties with community programs, groups, agencies, and board and care homes to develop supportive community relationships.
- Conduct mental health education and develop additional resources for mentally ill and sex offender inmates.
- Assist inmates in applying for entitlement benefits, community programs, and services.
- Compile and analyze data from audits pertaining to the mental health program requirements.
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in a public or private institution.
- Valid Photo ID, Driver's License, or Passport.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association.
- Valid California Psychologist license.
- Health Insurance.
- Quarterly Bonus.
- 40 hours of paid sick time.
- Weekly direct deposit.
- Paid Pre-Employment Testing.
