Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Inspector to join our team at Pinellas County Government. As a Field Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting public works infrastructure construction projects, ensuring compliance with county standards and regulations. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect public works infrastructure construction projects, including roadways, utilities, and buildings.
  • Verify compliance with county standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and quality assurance.
  • Communicate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project completion.
  • Prepare and submit reports on inspection findings and project status.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in public works infrastructure construction or a related field.
  • Valid State of Florida Driver's License.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in Intermediate MOT (or higher) and FDOT CTQP (ACI, Earthwork Level 1, Asphalt Paving Level 1, Drill Shaft, etc.).
