CEI Senior Inspector Job Description

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join our team in District 3. As a key member of our infrastructure consulting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the inspection of construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and providing expert technical guidance to junior inspectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with client and contractor specifications.
  • Perform engineering inspections, including construction observation and field sampling of asphalt, concrete, and earthwork.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and train junior-level inspectors to ensure high-quality work.
  • Exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to field aspects of projects.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, subordinates, and the Department in the performance of duties.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; engineering, engineering technology, or construction management degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction for candidates with engineering degrees; minimum of four years of CEI experience for candidates without engineering degrees.
  • Valid Driver's License required with a safe driving record.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
Physical Demands:

This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds, frequent travel to work sites under adverse environmental conditions, and the ability to visually examine construction materials and finished structures.

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required.
