RK&K is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in the North Florida area. As a Construction Inspector at RK&K, you will be responsible for inspecting and documenting various processes, procedures, materials, and safety for contractors on roadway and bridge construction projects in the heavy civil industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily roadway inspections and verify contractor compliance with quality control standards.
  • Conduct inspections and testing as required, including earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge structures, toll facilities, lighting, pavement markings, signing, and signalization.
  • Collaborate with the Project Administrator or Senior Inspector to ensure project deliverables are met.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent, plus two years of experience in construction inspection, with one year of bridge and/or roadway construction inspection experience.
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I, and CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I certifications.
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT, Nuclear Radiation Safety, IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, and Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous FDOT roadway and/or bridge construction inspection experience.
  • Critical Structures Construction Issues certification.
  • FDOT Self Study Computer Based Training course completion.
