Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Procurement Manager to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for developing strategic procurement solutions and executing day-to-day tactical purchasing functions for various spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category plans to meet program requirements
  • Evaluate and manage the supply base to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements
  • Develop and execute business cases to support procurement decisions
  • Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities in the procurement process
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives
  • Foster collaboration with program functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and requirements management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with subcontracting of tooling research and development, spec requirements, build to print, and COTS commodities
  • Significant understanding of US Government and non-US Government/commercial acquisitions
  • Experienced knowledge/compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Experience with most Contract Types (Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus)
  • Experience in assessing proposal compliance (FAR 15.4) and supporting DCMA Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) events
  • Strong analytical skills, data-driven, with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics
  • Interprets and applies company policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards, and U.S. government regulations
  • Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Current active DOD Secret Security Clearance and/or Special Access
