Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Amazon via Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Amazon.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement and supply chain processes for a high-volume manufacturing facility. This includes developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with the company's top priority vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and timely delivery of materials and components to support production.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage the strategic procurement and supply chain plan to support the company's manufacturing objectives and growth.
  2. Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted partnerships with the organization's top priority vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable supply and responsiveness.
  3. Lead the procurement team in identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers to expand the vendor base and increase supply chain resilience.
  4. Negotiate favorable contracts with vendors, including pricing, lead times, delivery terms, and flexibility/responsiveness.
  5. Oversee materials and inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess or shortage.
  6. Analyze supply chain performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement and supply chain activities.
  8. Manage the procurement team, including goal-setting, training, and performance evaluations.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement and/or supply chain management, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  3. Expertise in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and inventory optimization.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  6. Proficient with supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
