Position Overview


The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) will provide in-depth clinical and product knowledge by delivering exceptional education and training consultations within a designated product portfolio to healthcare professionals.

This role is pivotal in executing clinical and educational initiatives within a specified region while fostering robust relationships with key customer stakeholders and internal teams.

The CAS will conduct both hands-on and theoretical training utilizing structured educational frameworks. The goal is to assist clients in enhancing productivity and the quality of patient care by improving their technical and clinical skills. The specialist will facilitate the integration and utilization of advanced product features into the clinical workflows of customers in a consultative approach.

Collaboration with key account stakeholders is essential to ensure a seamless customer experience from pre-sales through post-installation, while also promoting educational offerings to clients and account teams.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties
Develop expertise in product, clinical, and software knowledge within a specific modality, becoming a recognized authority in the field.

Coordinate, schedule, and deliver objective-based system and feature training and educational support. Showcase the complete range of product features, capabilities, and advantages.

Fulfill responsibilities and achieve outcomes as outlined in the Clinical Applications Specialist's priorities.

Serve as a subject matter expert and educational consultant to the internal account community, providing clinical, technical, and professional guidance while communicating progress and challenges to the internal team to enhance customer experience and account standing.

Implement training through rigorous skill assessments and ensure thorough documentation of outcomes. Collaborate with customers to create tailored training strategies that meet their specific needs. Share results with key stakeholders.

Assist customers in adopting new product features and advanced imaging techniques. Work with clients to develop training plans that support the integration of imaging techniques and lead to high customer satisfaction scores.

Engage in consultative discussions regarding application services and recommend additional support options tailored to specific site needs. Propose and implement solutions that enhance customer productivity and drive growth.

Facilitate revenue generation through the delivery of on-site or remote clinical education.

Provide ongoing training and support post-installation as needed throughout the product lifecycle, especially as new enhancements are introduced that require additional training.

Maintain customer relationships through proactive communication and address any relevant product or customer concerns with internal stakeholders.

Suggest improvements for product quality and overall offerings.

Effectively manage travel and lodging budgets by optimizing travel strategies and maximizing expenditure value.

Complete all administrative tasks related to the position promptly, maintaining clear and comprehensive records to comply with job requirements.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal and engagement skills, prioritizing personal and business integrity in all activities.

Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to a dynamic team culture. Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment as a self-starter and self-directed individual.

Required Qualifications:
RT(R) and/or RCIS certification

Minimum of 2 years of technical or clinical experience in an interventional setting (e.g., Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology)

At least 2 years of experience with GE equipment

Comprehensive understanding of clinical education training and process implementation.

Must reside within the designated territory.

Willingness to travel extensively (90+%) within the U.S. and Canada using various modes of transportation.


Preferred Qualifications:
Over 10 years of clinical experience, with 5+ years of experience in GE modality-specific platforms.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complex issues into clear messages.

Proven experience in delivering complex information and tailoring messaging for different audiences.

Ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all organizational levels and work effectively in a matrix environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing personnel, team structures, business priorities, and work environments.

Proactive in identifying opportunities and recommending solutions.

Results-driven with a passion for making a positive impact on customers and the business.

Confidently articulate opinions and key points clearly and fluently.
