The specialist will be responsible for accurately recording results and providing clinical preliminary impressions as necessary. The outcomes of these examinations play a crucial role in guiding patient care decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive vascular imaging and assessments using advanced ultrasound equipment.
- Evaluate complex vascular conditions, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Communicate preliminary findings to referring physicians, fostering collaboration within the healthcare team.
- Participate in the maintenance and care of ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Engage in clinical instruction for ultrasound students and assist in training medical professionals.
- Contribute to clinical research initiatives as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess a permanent address outside a specified radius from the facility.
- A minimum of one year of experience in vascular imaging is required.
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or equivalent is preferred.
- Current registration in vascular ultrasound (RVT or RVS) is mandatory.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program or relevant degree in health sciences is essential.
- Two professional references from recent employment are necessary.
Work Environment:
The role may involve floating to various units based on staffing needs, including working with diverse patient populations. The schedule includes full-time hours with potential weekend shifts.
Additional Information:
All candidates must demonstrate competency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and meet specific credentialing requirements prior to employment. It is essential to review all compliance documentation before the start date.
