Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at NavitsPartners. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI imaging procedures and ensuring the diagnostic quality of images.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate MRI equipment to perform imaging procedures and ensure optimal image quality.
  2. Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  3. Educate patients on the imaging procedure, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  4. Review patient safety questionnaires and follow MRI safety precautions to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  5. Collaborate with physicians to ensure proper maintenance of imaging rooms and equipment, and to assist with imaging procedures as needed.
  6. Properly label and transmit images to the Radiology Information System (RIS) following department standards.
  7. Assist with the administration of opaque media and use of power injectors under aseptic technique, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  8. Ensure cleanliness of MRI rooms and equipment, maintaining necessary supplies and adhering to infection control policies.
  9. Accurately record patient information in the RIS and schedule exams, ensuring timely and efficient patient care.
  10. Monitor equipment for needed repairs and report unsafe conditions to ensure a safe working environment.
  11. Attend in-service and professional development meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest imaging techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State License (L.R.T.).
  • NY State IV Certification.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), MRI certified.
  • BLS certification.
Working Conditions
  • Hours Per Week: 37.50
  • Days Per Week: 5
  • Hours Per Day: 7.5
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
