About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating specialized MRI imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, as directed by physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Position patients and associated coils to obtain optimum study
  • Provide patient education relevant to specific imaging procedures
  • Review patient safety questionnaires prior to introducing patients into the MRI scan room
  • Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure images are transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion
  • Ensure all studies performed are completed in IDX (Radiology Information System) in a timely fashion
  • Perform related clerical duties in the absence of support personnel
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and M.R. physics
  • 2 years experience in MRI (preferred)
  • NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology
  • A.R.R.T. MRI registry
  • BCLS Certified
