As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathes and/or Mills in a dynamic setting, following detailed instructions and blueprints to manufacture components according to specifications. Your role will involve ensuring the quality of parts produced while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC Lathes and/or Mills
  • Indicate diameters and faces on setup pieces and low-volume production
  • Conduct in-process inspections
  • Produce components according to manufacturing schedules and quality standards
  • Utilize micrometers and calipers for measurements
  • Complete and organize necessary documentation (work orders, instructions, tags, etc.)
  • Maintain organization and identification of parts
  • Adhere to all quality procedures
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the work environment
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • A minimum of five years of CNC machining experience
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls
  • Ability to produce parts with minimal supervision
  • Capability to inspect own work
  • Possession of personal tools
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with pallet-tech systems
  • Familiarity with Makino machining centers
  • Experience in setting up and validating programs for new components
  • Proficiency in reading and editing CNC programs
  • Skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation
