Project Overview:
The selected candidate will be engaged in our Oracle ERP Cloud Migration initiative, transitioning from existing ERP systems (such as SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.) to Oracle ERP Cloud.

Key Insights from Hiring Manager:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Oracle Cloud.

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Over 5 years of relevant professional experience or a comparable mix of transferable skills in technology application design and development
  • 5-8 years of experience in designing systems/applications architecture for progressively complex IT projects
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with at least one major cloud computing platform, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud, or IBM Cloud.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native services, including compute, storage, database, security, and networking. Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda), and cloud-based DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) is essential.
  • Strong architecture and design capabilities, with the ability to create and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems. Knowledge of architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and service-oriented architecture is required. Familiarity with design patterns related to security, data storage, and messaging is also necessary.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. The ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial.

Role Summary:


The IT Technical Solutions Architect will collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure comprehensive accountability for the solution, guaranteeing that the developed system meets business requirements and delivers intended value.

This role is responsible for the overall architecture and design of solutions across a limited number of applications or domains, assigned to projects of medium size, complexity, and risk.

They will provide extensive cross-functional expertise to assist in problem resolution.

The IT Technical Solutions Architect acts as an advisor on best practices, responsible for designing and effectively implementing strategies, architectures, and solutions in alignment with CTO office guidelines.

They will develop actionable blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines for assigned projects to ensure that the information technology architecture is consistent, usable, secure, and adds value to the business.

The position facilitates the design and implementation of flexible, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cross-functional application design strategies, architectures, and platforms to ensure optimized solutions for flexibility, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Enhance software solutions by providing unifying and simplifying concepts, improving work partitioning, and managing dependencies.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate architecture standards, maintaining technology standards and best practices across the organization, and contributing to corporate architecture strategy-setting.
  • Oversee the design solution through coding, testing, and production, including the resolution of post-production issues.
  • Engage in governance processes for new technologies and solutions to ensure consistent technology lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to solution estimates and planning, including task sequencing and identification of required technical skill sets.
  • Build consensus around application architecture principles and clarify these principles.
  • Participate in project teams, providing insights regarding technology vision, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions, offering detailed analysis of pros and cons and build vs. buy options.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical application processes and architectures, collaborating closely with other architects as needed.
  • Maintain operational, architectural, and design documentation, including procedures, task lists, and architecture blueprints.
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses in application architecture, including performance, quality, availability, simplicity of design, security, and total cost of ownership.
  • Facilitate project handoffs by preparing documentation and providing education and support for smooth transitions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with IT and business area partners, offering consultation to business teams.
  • Troubleshoot, recommend, and execute action plans for issue resolution.
  • Select and design tools that promote the reuse of design components and patterns across projects.
  • Participate in issue resolution by removing barriers and guiding development teams toward solutions.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and experience breadth and depth. Benchmark technology strategies and architectures, monitor trends, and investigate organizational objectives and needs. Prepare benchmarking reports and presentations.
  • Advocate for the implementation of new technologies, solutions, and methods to improve business processes, efficiency, effectiveness, and value delivered to customers.
  • Develop working solutions or prototypes based on their designs and resolve any arising issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to create progressively complex architectural designs.
  • Proficient in consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building, presentation, and facilitation.
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback for performance improvement.
  • Mastery of various hardware platforms, including mainframes, distributed platforms, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Experience and understanding of multiple operating systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of databases.
  • Proven ability to innovate and think beyond established standards and processes.
  • Knowledge of and experience applying current and emerging technology solutions and trends, including security and regulatory industry requirements.
  • Effective decision-making skills related to architecture and design implementation.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of application technology development practices.
  • In-depth business process knowledge of two or more key business functional areas.
  • Ability to articulate technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
